ISE is currently seeking a Technical Writer who can produce high-quality technical reports and other content related to ISE’s cybersecurity services and its software product, Start. The ideal candidate will have experience with writing, editing, and proofreading technical documentation within the cybersecurity industry. If you have a passion for writing and are interested in making a difference in helping companies understand the vulnerabilities within their technologies, this could be the job for you.
What you’ll do at ISE:
* Assist in driving our clients’ overall security posture by creating client-facing technical documentation for the Service Delivery team, including assessment reports and other miscellaneous deliverables.

* Receive notes or rough drafts from Security Analysts and transcribe the material to the produce final ISE client-ready report with limited formatting and grammar errors.
* Explore process improvements, as needed.
* Collaborate with Security Analysts and IT Managers to develop internal and external content.
* Join scoping calls with the Business Development team to assist with the handover process and write up system overviews.
* Take full ownership of the final product and the finished documentation for the client.
* Help edit blogs and other content written by Security Analysts or ghost write the blog on behalf of a Security Analyst who performs the research.
* Improve current internal documentation for the Professional Services team professionalism and accuracy.

* Build out the Service Delivery Confluence page
* Create documentation / workflow charts on our process for services.
* Partner with our design team to update/improve ISE Style Guide for company branding.
* Assist in driving new clients to our sales pipeline through technical writing projects for developing marketing copy or creating material for ISE cybersecurity services and software product, Start.
* Help with writing in other areas of the business, such as marketing and websites, as needed.
* Mentor others in writing and communication
What You Bring to the Table (Must Haves):
* 2+ years of experience writing technical reports.
* Writing, editing, and publishing skills.
* Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and terminology.
* Experience with Microsoft Word is required.
* Willingness to work with multiple teams and write different types of technical content.
* Ability to interpret and translate deep technical content into accessible communication for non-technical audiences.
Nice to have:
* Understanding of application security and related services; web, mobile, cloud, firmware, etc.
* Knowledge of OWASP vulnerabilities
* Previous security analyst experience
Salary:
$80K-$100K, according to experience
