Who We're Looking For: We are looking for a skilled Accountant to be responsible for the preparation, researching and analyzing of AVNTs accounting data. We expect you to provide detailed information on AVNTs performance, liquidity, solvency, and cash flows as well as analyze its financial position and make forecasting recommendations. AVNT also offers basic bookkeeping services to our high profile clients and these responsibilities are strategically delegated to AVNTs in-house accounting team, experience as a freelance accountant will come in handy when having to manage multiple clients simultaneously. AVNT is in a stage of rapid growth and we expect our accounting services client list to expand in unison, this role has potential to ascend as we build out our Finance department. Responsibilities: * Perform all accounting operations and ensure their compatibility with accounting principles and regulations * Create budget and financial forecasts * Prepare timely and accurate financial statements * Perform month-end and year-end close processes * Perform audits of company's financial transactions and prepare documentation for accounting control procedures * Prepare periodic reports for AVNT executives and top managers * Keep corporate information confidential and develop safety measures such as random database backups * Monitor all updates to financial policies, regulation, and legislation * Fulfill bookkeeping responsibilities for our clients that have signed up for AVNT accounting services and execute on any requests * Securely manage client records in a shared cloud based application that clients can access at any time * Maintain relationships with clients and relay all necessary information to AVNT executives within confidentiality guidelines Requirements: * 2+ years experience of working as an Accountant or other relevant position, employee or freelance * Profound knowledge of accounting, financial and business principles and procedures * Excellent knowledge of accounting software * Strong computation skills with close attention to detail * Self-starter who thrives in a fast paced environment * Ability to work both independently and within a team setting * Productivity and confidentiality * Excellent communication and organizational skills Nice To Have: * Experience as a freelance accountant managing multiple clients simultaneously * Experience in the retail industry * Experience in the startup space What we offer: * Full remote work * $50,000-$65,000/yr * Full-time position * Monday-Friday * Opportunity to rapidly grow in your role
