• Manage the test scope and delivery for the programme
• Define and implement the overall test approach and strategy
• Apply different estimating methods to estimate timescales, effort and costs for the
testing phases
• Responsible for producing the overall test delivery plan and defining the test
deliverable milestones, phases, test tasks and activities whilst determining whether
automation tools can be utilised
• Manage the testing team to ensure that we have the correct testing capability and
capacity in place to support test delivery, from project initiation to post
implementation review and hypercare
• Identify slippage and develop strategies to recover and will own and resolve issues
around the technical solution delivered into the business test environment
• Ensure that all test phases have appropriate entry / exit criteria and for monitoring
achievement of these criteria and for obtaining sign-off against these prior to Go Live
• Implement a well structured approach to test defect management and incident
reporting
• Monitor and report the status and progress of each test phase to different stakeholders
and to agreed standards
• Work across workstreams and pillars to ensure that testing dependencies and pre-
requisites are identified, defined and actively managed
• Requirement definition, tool identification and implementation for test delivery and
automation
• Work with infrastructure, environments and security teams to ensure that test
environments are in place and controlled.
• Work with Technical Pillar Lead and Solution Architect to ensure management of
change control and code freeze periods
• Support the change control process by conducting impact assessments of changes and
ensuring adherence to the change control process.
• Ensure that all testing related tasks and deliverables are kept up to date and managed
within Dev Ops.
Qualifications for test manager
• ISTQB certified test manager
• Tracked record of managing the testing for at least 1 complex D365 FO
implementation programme including a global rollout with experience in the
following modules Project Management, Procurement and Sourcing, and Finance
• Experience in Data Migration Reconciliation Testing and sign-off
• Experience in managing functional and none functional testing
• Experience in D365 Test automation framework design and implementation using
RSAT
