Job Description
You will be part of a team that will be helping accelerate software test strategies and implementations for Oteemo’s clients. You will be working with E2E testing tools such as Python, Selenium Grid, and Faker to test the applications. Enabling teams with tools and practices to author and maintain E2E tests will be your core responsibility. Setting up testing frameworks, assisting in troubleshooting existing problems related to software testing and analysis, mentoring other team members of the client organization on best practices will be part of your responsibilities. You will design, engineer, maintain, and execute testing solutions as the owner of one or more technology areas.
We are looking for someone who vocalizes risk areas during the product development cycle. Equally important is a strong aptitude for learning new technologies with a good instinct for discovering defects in a complex software ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
* Execute test cases under varying circumstances and document and evaluate test results
* Detect, log, and report program bugs and glitches
* Track defects and helps troubleshoot errors
* Review test procedures and develops test scripts
* Partners with engineers to drive QA efforts
Qualifications
* Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance
* Ability to coordinate with cross-functional test engineering teams to ensure adequate test coverage of complex features
* Professional experience as a Software Engineer in Test or Software Quality Engineer
* Knowledge and experience managing applications on AWS and some knowledge in other Clouds (e.g., Azure, GCP, etc).
* Fluency in one or more object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Swift/Obj-C/Java/C++/Go/etc.)
* Fluency in one or more scripting languages: (e.g., Python/JavaScript/Ruby/etc.)
* Expertise in testing microservices and RESTful APIs
* Proficiency with databases (e.g., Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, MongoDB, etc.)
* Shown problem solving and debugging skills: analyze and investigate test failures, errors, and build issues, able to properly drive issues to completion
* Proven experience with Git and branching processes
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Experience providing technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments
