Nextly, the #1 Top Software Development Company in Brazil by Clutch, is looking for an experienced AI Engineer to join our client's team, an EdTech startup. You would be the expert to lead the development of an AI-based tutor-matching system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning and AI, a deep understanding of recommendation systems, and experience in the EdTech industry. Worth noting that they already have a team of 11 engineers (led by the CTO) within a team of 70 people in the company.
Responsibilities
• Understand the business requirements and objectives of the AI tutor matching feature.
• Identify the data needed for the AI matching algorithm and devise strategies for collecting, processing, and using this data effectively.
• Design, develop, and implement an AI-based matching algorithm that matches students with tutors based on multiple factors.
• Collaborate with our development team to integrate the AI matching feature into our platform.
• Conduct rigorous testing to ensure the matching algorithm works as expected and improves over time.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the AI tutor matching feature and make adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with the team to understand user feedback and make improvements to the AI system.
• Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
Requirements
• Proven experience as an AI Engineer, Data Scientist, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and principles.
• Experience developing AI-based recommendation or matching systems.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or other programming languages commonly used in AI.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Experience working with datasets and strong understanding of data analysis methods.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Experience in the EdTech industry is a plus.
