Based in New York, BRAC USA is the North American affiliate of BRAC. BRAC USA is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit that strengthens BRAC’s impact by raising awareness about its work, mobilizing resources to support its programs, and amplifying its evidence-based poverty innovations worldwide.
BRAC USA staff work in a hybrid work environment that includes both in-office and remote work arrangements. This position will be based in New York City. Due to the essential functions of this role, this position will require in-person office work 2-3 days per week.
BRAC USA seeks a highly motivated candidate to join the Individual Giving team. The position is responsible for gift processing, data entry and reporting, gift reconciliations and analysis, dashboard development and maintenance, and general database management. The Adminstrator will report to the Director of Development. This is a tremendous opportunity for a motivated candidate who is excited about supporting BRAC’s work, is highly organized, and has incredible attention to detail.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Receive and record all incoming donations, including from external platforms, into Salesforce in a timely and accurate manner.
* Prepare cash deposits for all gifts received by mail. Prepare monthly deposit reports and documentation. Notify the Finance team of daily gift intake.
* Scan and upload donation documents into Salesforce, sharing these with relevant staff members.
* Organize and file donation documentation.
* Address any requests relating to fundraising platforms, matching gifts, and donor data.
* Prepare, print, mail/email, and track donation acknowledgment letters using timely, effective, and consistent methods.
* Manage donor requests to update or cancel recurring donation information.
* Interface closely with the finance department and perform monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations. Assist finance with the documentation needed for annual audit.
* Manage and respond to the organization's general email inbox.
* Create mailing and emailing lists when needed by the department and organization. Support email blasts to major donors or other constituents.
* Manage Salesforce, including user maintenance, generation of reports and dashboards, creation of new fields and other routine tasks.
* Gather detailed requests for improvements or changes to Salesforce, and implement these changes as appropriate.
* Automate processes using Salesforce tools and manage less complex Salesforce integrations.
* Train new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization.
* Document customizations made in Salesforce by maintaining an instructional document detailing all giving processes for all staff and onboarding of new staff.
* Plan ahead for Salesforce upgrades, seasonal releases and long term projects.
* Support additional projects as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
* Experience in an administrative/support or database role.
* Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to build custom reports, dashboards and processes.
* Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality preferred.
* Highly detail oriented, strategic thinker with strong attention to detail.
* Knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software.
* Demonstrated ability to work with Salesforce database.
* Excellent verbal, telephone and written communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize and function well in a fast-paced environment.
* Takes ownership and accountability of assigned projects and tasks with strong follow-through.
* Respect for privacy, confidentiality, and discretion.
* Proactive team player with strong desire to learn and ability to be flexible.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree required with some bookkeeping or accounting coursework preferred.
* 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
* Proficiency with Salesforce Google G Suite and Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Excel.

Note that some benefits are subject to a waiting period, and more information can be provided to shortlisted applicants upon request. The salary range for this position is $60,000-$65,000.
