Job Description
We are looking for experienced translators and editors to work on texts in different fields like medical, technical, IT and marketing. To qualify, you must have at least 2 years of translation experience in your field.
The translations have to be carried out within the set deadlines and the translator must ensure that the translation is:
* Accurate in terms of both meaning and subject-specific terminology.
* Clear and free of any awkward or unnatural constructions.
* Terminology and style guides are strictly followed.
* The instructions are carefully read and followed.
* Free of any proofreading errors.
The editor must be able to check the translations as per the above mentioned requirements and perform all necessary final checks and QA procedures after the translation to ensure quality and adherence to all the project specific instructions.
We currently have openings for freelance translators and editors in the following language combinations:
* English, German, French and other languages to Latvian
* English, German, French and other languages to Lithuanian
* English, German, French and other languages to Estonian
* English, German, French and other languages to Norwegian
* English, German, French and other languages to Swedish
* English, German, French and other languages to Finnish
* English, German, French and other languages to Danish
* English, German, French and other languages to Icelandic
* English, German, French and other languages to Ukrainian

Qualifications
* Fluency in the source language
* Native-level fluency in the target language (essential)
* An understanding and knowledge of relevant terminology in the native language as well as in English or German is highly preferred
* Expertise/an advanced degree in any of the following fields:
* Translation, Linguistics
* Minimum 1 year of translation, translation review, editing or proofreading experience
* Familiarity with CAT tools (Memsource, Trados, Transit and others) and willingness to learn
* Strong time management skills (you will be required to work on deadlines)
* Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
