The role overview:
This position is to provide leadership for the commercial aspects of the business. You will be playing a big management role for RFP responses and other proposals, working across the business, and where applicable, other suppliers, to pull together suitable bid teams, allocate responsibilities and manage production timelines.
The successful candidate will work closely with directors, Finance & operations, Sales and Delivery teams to develop negotiation strategies for customer opportunities and lead negotiations on financial and legal aspects of business development.
You would be expected to take ownership of the process of statement of work (SOW) production such that, either through personal development of documents or review of SOWs produced by team members, a consistently high quality of project scope, deliverables, roles and responsibilities etc. documentation is presented to customers and if necessary, lead negotiation of SOW documents with customers for more complex projects.
We are looking for someone to be able to show evidence of a proactive, agile and hands-on approach with a can-do attitude. Someone who is influential, flexible, honest, highly skills in relationship management and a team player would be a great fit for this role.
Required Skills, Experience and Knowledge
* We are looking for someone who has worked in a commercial role in a professional consulting and support organisation (SAP specific experience is not needed but an understanding of deliverable based IT project contracts is)
* Contract and price negotiations on projects with a value of up to £5M working directly with the end customer
* Negotiation of legal contracts
* Working alongside legal and other advisors on more complex negotiations
* The management and production of complex RFP responses in the professional environment
* The creation and management of high-quality SOWs in a professional consulting environment
