Associate Project Manager

Overview


The Associate Project Manager will drive execution of projects, ensuring that commitments are delivered on time, within scope, to budget, and to the required quality standards.  They will proactively work with the project team and stakeholders to ensure solutions are delivered in a manner that achieve business/contractual obligations and solidify client/key stakeholder satisfaction and needs.


 


This is a remote role in the US.


 


Responsibilities



* Delivers projects on schedule and within budget as specified by contract/project plans.

* Ensures the use of appropriate processes and standards throughout the project lifecycle.

* Manages project risks through the prioritization, planning, up to delivery.

* Defines a communication plan suitable to the project size and importance.

* Ensures that the project scope is clearly defined and documented at the onset of the project.

* Manages scope changes and change requests escalating internally and externally as necessary impacts on costs, schedules, and deliverables.

* Anticipates and communicates the impact of project decisions and actions on client commitments / expectations.

* Creates and monitors risk logs and actively mitigates all risks.

* Demonstrates project control through disciplined measurement, assessment, planning, and reporting.

* Establishes trusted relationships with the project team, key influencers/stakeholders, and executive leadership.

* Consistently completes project status and reporting, both written and via meetings, as appropriate

* Builds relationships across organizational functions (internal and external, as required by the project) at various levels including but not limited to decision makers.

* Motivates the team to drive toward success and find ways to overcome difficulties.

* Shares and encourages others to share and use the lessons learned from project.

* Identifies, suggests, and implements improvements to processes.






 


Qualifications


Academic and Professional Qualifications:



* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business/technical experience

* PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2 or similar project management certification (Preferred)

* Lean Six Sigma, Scrum, or SAFe certification (Preferred)






 


Required Experience/Skills:



* 2-4 years relevant work experience

* Solid organization and time management skills.

* Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail

* Great communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and ability to work with diverse personality types.

* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

* Must be highly self-motivated, creative, and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems

* Good negotiation skills with the ability to facilitate discussion, identify alternative approaches, and resolve conflicts

* Ability to identify and remove impediments, as well as prevent distractions for the team

* MS Office Suite skills are required (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams)






 


Preferred Experience/Skills:



* Background with services implementations working in health information technology, electronic medical records, or telemedicine related software

* Familiarity with hospital acute, ambulatory, care coordination, insurance, or accountable care

* Familiarity with standard health information data transfer methods, such as HL-7, FHIR, CCD/CCDA, XDR, XDS.b, or Direct Messaging

* Familiarity with, and ability to influence, the Software Development Life Cycle

* Understanding and ability to plan for technical dependencies related to distributed cloud computing such as VPN’s, certificates, networking, and active directory management.

* Experience leading and/or participating in software testing QA events either as a tester, subject matter expert, consultant, team lead, or manager to the degree necessary for planning, monitoring, and managing issues to successful resolution.






 


Travel Requirements:



* Up to 10% travel may be required

* International travel may be required






 


Working Arrangements:



* Remote Office

* After-hours work will be required (Occasionally)  

* On-call support during holidays may be required

Salary Range
$90,264—$106,511 USD
