Job Description
At Contact, our Finance & Risk team is at the heart of the business key to ensuring the development and execution of our strategy. We do this by supporting and challenging the financial performance of the business, achieving operational excellence and through the provision of financial information and insights to make good decisions for the future.
As part of our commitment to the business, we are looking for a seasoned Management Accountant, with at least 2 years experience.
You will help to deliver high quality financial planning, analysis and reporting services to the business including best practice fixed asset accounting and analysis. You will be working closely with wider Finance team and the enterprise wide business leaders.
We promise you no two days will be the same, here's a sneak peek into some of the things you will be working on:
* To ensure General Ledger integrity is maintained
* To ensure the efficient preparation of monthly management accounts, including cash flow and Fixed Assets (including capital work in progress and useful life reviews), through the preparation/review of month end journals, work papers and balance sheet reconciliations; keeping a clear audit trail
* Analysis and Board reporting of Contact’s monthly actual and forecast/budget performance
* To ensure key management information is disseminated to relevant decision makers, such as Cost Centre and Project/Capital reporting
You will build and maintain strong relationships with the business to facilitate strong understanding of business activity, and to be able to interpret, understand and report on financial performance.
Qualifications
You are famous for a lot of things, but in particular, your ability to get stuck in and do the mahi will be high on that list. You will have plenty of stories to share with us about the role you played in creating efficiencies across your portfolio that have elevated your teams reputation.
You lead with a 'no task is to big or to small' and will be a natural contributor, professionally and personally (we are a social bunch). We are looking for some specific skills as well, but first and foremost you will be driven to help people achieve great things through your financial expertise.
Here's a couple of must have's:
* Chartered Accountant professional qualification (or equivalent) or working towards and has accounting/business experience
* Knowledge of accounting systems (preferably ERP systems), procedures, reporting, and other business systems
* Experience in financial planning, analysis and reporting
* Experience with evaluating and improving processes and controls

This is a fixed term position to cover an internal secondment through to 30 May 2025
